Dear Class of 2018
Dear ladies, gentlemen, students, staff, and class of 2018. Today is the day that we graduate 8th grade. It felt like only a few days ago that I was walking into Hynes for my first day of kindergarten. In 2nd grade I remember sitting in this very Auditorium watching my brother graduate. It was so crazy to think that l myself will be up on this stage graduating 8th grade. But now that I am graduating I'm really nervous. I don't know how it will feel being in such a big school with so many people because at Golf everyone knows each other. If you need help with something you know who to go to. Someone is always there to answer your questions. I have learned so much in my years at Golf and Hynes.
I have formed so many memories. In 2nd grade going on our around the town field trip meeting the mayor and eating lunch at Kappy's was cool because to an 8 year-old meeting the mayor was like meeting someone famous. Pretending to be Jackie Robinson in 4th grade was my first big project and longest public speech. My biggest fear of starting middle school was how was I going to master the combination lock on the lockers. At the beginning of 7th grade I was scared to take a foreign language but La Senora Conejo made that fun and exciting. I think that everyone can say Mrs Conejo sang her way into our brains, birthdays, and vocabulary lists. I have always loved reading. Every year teachers would recommend me lots of great books to read. One of my favorite recommended books came from Mrs. Joyner .This year has been very challenging but rewarding at the same time. We had the 8th grade play and discovered weird illnesses with ER. Fishing at camp McLean. Even though it was my second time fishing I caught the most fish which was 7 fish. And the most dreaded thing of all. 8th grade finals. Kilan Mulan said things end but memories last forever. We are all taking so many memories with as we continue our Journey through life. I would like to thank all the teachers and staff for making those memories possible.
